Our region is named after the river Ardèche. As you can see on the map, Antraigues-sur-Volane is located exactly in the Center of this department .
L' Angelot is located in the Parc Naturel Regional des Monts d’Ardèche. This means that we are in a nature reserve protected area with all the beauty that it has to offer.
There is also a lot to experience for sports enthusiasts, whether it is walking, cycling, canoeing or much more. Take a look at our Sports Activities page.
Vallon-Pont-d’Arc, (40 min by car) is the most touristic village in Ardèche.
For some, an absolute must: starting point for a descent by canoe or kayak through the Gorges de l'Ardèche, highly recommended but very touristic, others prefer to drive straight to the natural wonder of the Pont d 'Arc (photo on the left) or visit the caves of Aven d’Orgnac, named one of the most beautiful natural phenomena in France. You should also visit the replica of the Grotte Chauvet, on UNESCO's heritage list for its unique prehistoric drawings.
Next to L' Angelot you find the spa town of Vals-les-Bains with its past glory of ancient buildings in the Art Nouveau style. The historic city of Aubenas is only 5 minutes further and definitely worth a visit, especially on Saturdays when there is the weekly market. Directly south of Aubenas begin the vineyards and you can visit a variety of picturesque villages. We name one: Balazuc, a gem and for good reason chosen as one of the most beautiful villages of France.
